Manager - PV Projects

Job Purpose

 

  • To effectively sell Solar rooftop systems to commercial and industrial customers, particularly SMEs. 
  • To work effectively with existing customers (for referrals) and channel partners to identify leads, organise site surveys, offer proposals, close the sale, collect documents for in-house credit (if credit sale), and collect the money.

  • - FY 2025–2026: 5 CR 
  • - FY 2026–2027: 10 CR 

 

Principal Accountabilities

  • - To sell rooftop solar systems to commercial and industrial customers, particularly targeting SMEs. 
  • - To inform customers of in-house credit option, and use this facility to close sales more quickly. 
  • - To ensure monthly targets are met for leads generated (site surveys), orders booked, sales invoiced, and collections achieved. 
  • - To sell within the stipulated guidelines on money collection. 
  • - To work closely with Vice President PV Projects and marketing to organise awareness-raising events with the industry. 
  • - To actively pursue all leads and ensure they are met, and the CRM is updated in a timely fashion. 
  • - To conduct an initial site survey and subsequently organise detailed site surveys and develop proposals in coordination with the in-house technical and operations departments. 
  • - To personally conduct site visits to assess the technical feasibility of the product being offered. 
  • - To monitor that installations are proceeding on time, and to the customer’s satisfaction. 
  • - To ensure overall customer satisfaction with the working of the entire system. 
  • - To provide daily, weekly and monthly reports to the line manager as and when required. 
  • - To keep track on competitor offerings. 

 

Experience / Qualifications Required

  • - 5–6+ years of B2B sales experience. 
  • - Ideally, prior experience in selling Solar Rooftop PV / Ground-mounted systems. 
  • - Knowledge about State Open Access / Policies. 
  • - A degree or diploma in electrical engineering. 
  • - A self-starter with fresh ideas and lots of initiative. 
  • - A clear grasp of commercial issues, in addition to technical. 
  • - A team-player. 
  • - Able to travel at short notice.
