Job Description

The Project Manager will be responsible for leading the end-to-end execution of utility-scale renewable energy EPC projects, ensuring successful delivery within scope, budget, quality, and timeline. The role involves overseeing project planning, contract administration, stakeholder communication, risk management, and cross-functional coordination while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.

The position requires close collaboration with engineering, procurement, construction, legal, commercial, and customer teams to deliver complex electrical and renewable energy projects successfully.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Planning & Execution

• Develop and implement project execution strategies in line with contractual requirements.
• Prepare and manage the Master Project Schedule, ensuring timely project completion.
• Monitor project progress and take corrective actions to achieve project objectives.
• Manage the project lifecycle from tender handover through final acceptance and project closure.

2. Project Organisation & Leadership

• Build, organise, and lead high-performing project teams.
• Define clear roles, responsibilities, and communication channels across project stakeholders.
• Coach and mentor team members while driving accountability and performance.
• Resolve project conflicts and facilitate cross-departmental collaboration.

3. Stakeholder & Customer Management

• Act as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle.
• Build strong relationships with clients, consultants, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
• Manage internal and external communication to ensure project alignment.
• Address customer concerns and maintain high levels of client satisfaction.

4. Contract & Commercial Management

• Manage contractual obligations and ensure compliance with contract terms.
• Administer change orders, variations, and contractual claims.
• Collaborate with legal and commercial teams to resolve contractual issues.
• Develop claim management strategies and oversee successful claim resolution.

5. Risk, Quality & HSE Management

• Develop and implement project risk management plans.
• Identify project risks and opportunities and implement mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) standards.
• Drive continuous improvements in quality, safety, and project execution processes.

6. Performance Monitoring & Reporting

• Monitor project KPIs related to cost, schedule, quality, and safety.
• Prepare regular project progress reports for management and clients.
• Track project performance and implement corrective actions where required.
• Ensure project objectives are achieved while maximising operational efficiency.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 12+ years of experience in Electrical or Renewable Energy EPC projects.
• Proven experience managing utility-scale electrical or renewable energy projects.
• Strong understanding of EPC project execution, contract management, and stakeholder coordination.
